My family loves wings, but it can be rather expensive to eat a satisfactory number of wings out, but also it can be incredibly fatty and unhealthy. The amount of money spent at a fast food restaurant for 5-10 wings, can easily make about 30 wings at home and feel more satisfying, tasty and healthy. Try this easy to make wing recipe that works every time!

Yields: approx. 30 wings

Prep time: 10 minutes

Cooking time: 50 minutes

Ingredients:

3 pounds chicken wings, halved at the joints

2 tablespoons corn starch

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Instructions:

1. Pre-heat oven at 425F.

2. Line large baking sheet with parchment paper then place wire rack and spray with cooking oil. This will allow the air to circulate for an even cooking.

3. Pat dry wings with paper towel to remove any moisture. This step is the key to crispy wings

Place wings in a large bowl.

4. Mix seasoning together in a small bowl and blend, then sprinkle over wings and toss well. Massage with hands to ensure each wing is coated with the seasoning.

5. Place each wing on the prepared wire rack to form a line, leaving a very small amount of space between each wing for even cooking and avoid sticking together.

6. Bake for 35 minutes.

Turn wings over and reduce oven heat to 400F and bake another 15 minutes.

7. Remove from oven and lightly cover with parchment paper so wings don't dry out, but not too tight so the wings start to steam up and let it rest on counter for 5-7 minutes.

8. Toss wings into a large bowl to coat in any sauce of your choice or simply transfer to a serving platter and serve with a side of sauce for dipping.
